2) Get Pre-Approved – Meet with a lender to get pre-approved for your home loan. If you don’t have a lender we can direct you to one of our preferred partners who have a history of providing a high level of service to our clients.
3) Search For Homes – Now the fun starts. To make the home search a successful process we set up a buyer consultation meeting to create your road map to homeownership. We will discuss your wants and needs, other search criteria, and the home buying process in detail as it relates to your circumstances and needs. Then we get inside homes and find the right property for you.
4) Submit An Offer – You made an offer and it was accepted. Now we move on to the next phase and start the escrow process.
5) Deposit earnest money funds to escrow. Deposit can be made via check, cashiers check, or by wire.
6) Home Inspection – Hire a professional licensed home inspector to learn as much about the home as possible and make a smart decision moving forward.
7) Submit Repair Requests – If you choose to ask the seller for repairs or concessions you have that opportunity at this time.
8) Appraisal – Your loan officer will order the appraisal in order for you and the lender to know what the appraised value is. This process can take 2 to 3 weeks.
9) Final Walk-Through – Schedule a walk through close to your closing date. This allows you to verify the home is in the same condition it was prior and verify completion of any potential repairs that were negotiated.
10) Signing – Sign closing documents at the escrow office. Typically, this happens a day or two prior to closing.
11) Get Keys – The final step in the process involves your purchase being recorded into the county records and it is now your home! Now we can get you the keys so you can access your new home.
